How to Deposit Rust Skins on Rust Snowball (With Screenshots)
Depositing Rust skins takes about 2-5 minutes end-to-end. Set your Steam trade URL once, pick skins, accept the trade offer the bot sends, confirm on Mobile Authenticator.
Step 1: set your Steam trade URL (one-time)
Steam → click your username → Inventory → Trade Offers → "Who can send me Trade Offers?" → copy the Trade URL at the bottom. It looks like https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=XXX&token=YYY.
Paste it into Rust Snowball: Account → Settings → Steam Trade URL → Save. One-time step. Future deposits skip straight to step 2.
The Mobile Authenticator step is the slowest part. Everything else is single-digit seconds.
Step 2: pick your skins
Open the deposit page, select the Skins tab. Your Steam inventory loads (cached briefly to avoid hammering Steam's API).
Tick the skins you want to deposit. Total USD value updates live based on the consensus pricing oracle. Click Generate trade.
Step 3: accept the trade offer
The bot sends a Steam trade offer to your account within about 10 seconds. Open your Steam mobile app, navigate to the trade offer, tap Accept.
Steam Mobile Authenticator confirms the trade. The bot's side is empty — you're depositing, not exchanging — so the confirmation is just the security step.
Step 4: coins credit instantly
Once Steam confirms the trade (typically under 5 seconds after you accept), the bot detects the inventory change and credits your Rust Snowball balance immediately. You'll see a notification and the balance update in the wallet.
Total first-deposit time: 2-5 minutes, mostly the Mobile Authenticator confirmation. Repeat deposits: 30s-1min since the trade URL is already on file.
Frequently asked questions
- Why did the trade offer expire?
- Bot auto-cancels offers that go unaccepted for 10 minutes to free up inventory. Click "Cancel & retry" to generate a new one.
- What if I decline the trade?
- No charge, no penalty. Generate a new trade any time. The bot only reserves inventory after you accept.
- Can I deposit any Rust skin?
- Yes, any tradeable Rust skin. Items that fail the bid-veto (oracle price too far above Steam Market bid) flag for staff review before settling.
- How much can I deposit at once?
- Single Steam trades carry up to 1,000 items. Practical limit is your inventory. Very large deposits ($1k+ USD) may route to staff review.
