Crash 10x auto-cashout
A 10x auto-cashout is the high-variance crash play: 9.5% hit rate, 10x payout. Most rounds end in losses; rare hits are big.
Long-run EV per $1 bet at 10x: 0.095 × 10 = $0.95 (same as 2x at 0.48 × 2 = $0.96, modulo banding).
Math & key numbers
| Auto-cashout target | 10.00x |
| Hit probability | ~9.5% |
| Multiplier per hit | 10.00x |
| EV per $1 bet | ~$0.95 |
| Expected losses between wins | ~10 |
Strategy notes
- 10x auto-cashout is the jackpot-leaning crash play. Bankroll bleeds during the 10-loss-stretches before each win.
- Kelly criterion stake at 10x is small — your bankroll-volatility tolerance is the bottleneck.
- Doubling-down after losses (Martingale) at 10x: ruin probability is very high; the rare 10x win still might not recover the streak.
- For high-variance play, 10x is the standard. For 50x peak hunting, the real cap (50x) caps you at 49.99x auto.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the max auto-cashout on Rust Snowball Crash?
- The real cap is 50.00x; auto-cashout is capped at 49.99x server-side. Targeting 100x is impossible (visual cap only on empty rounds).
- Is 10x or 2x better long-run?
- Same EV. Variance is wildly different. Both lose ~4-5% per $1 wagered long-run. 2x feels more controlled; 10x feels more "lottery."
